WORK EXPERIENCE

Digital Content Producer November 2021 – Present 

WTAJ, Altoona, PA

  • Research and write up to 6 stories per day with local interest in a fast-paced media environment 

  • Gather information for breaking news and upcoming events prior to pitch meetings 3 to 5 times a week

  • Collaborate among 6 other team members to manage digital content, including the 32 million page views received on wtaj.com in 2022

  • Acquire an average of 2,089 page views per story while following AP Style guidelines

  • Create videos and graphics utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Spark, and Canva

  • Monitor website traffic using Chartbeat and Google Analytics while applying SEO keywords and phrases

  • Utilize SocialFlow for social media post regarding published articles, graphics, and videos


Sports Intern August 2020 – April 2021 

WFMJ, Youngstown, OH

  • Attended multiple sporting events a day to produce cutsheet recaps of the event

  • Worked with videographers about what portions of obtained footage should be paired with cutsheet

  • Tracked competitor’s newscast for amount of covered football games for later comparison

  • Edited video pertaining to high school and professional sports for the newscast


Multimedia Editor August 2019 – May 2021 

The Rocket, Slippery Rock University

  • Recorded and edited weekly packages for news, campus life, and sports sections to an average online viewership of 50,000 users at theonlinerocket.com

  • Managed content coverage for larger events such as concerts, speakers, and ceremonies

  • Traveled to Washington, D.C. for College Media Association/Associated Collegiate Press convention

  • Assisted in campus media convergence through close communication with WSRU-TV News members

WSRU-TV News, Slippery Rock University

  • Led student-run digital news station that livestreams to an audience of 1,500 potential viewers through YouTube and social media

  • Operated camera productions, boom microphone, audio board, and teleprompter to help livestreams run efficiently

  • Covered weekly sporting events to create highlights documenting the game details for broadcast

  • Produced multiple “On The Rocks” shows, leading a group of students to create bi-weekly shows

  • Co-anchored multiple “Around The Rock Sports” segments for the “Around The Rock” livestream

  • Partook in National Broadcasting Society conferences in Philadelphia, PA and Burbank, CA
